So yesterday (4/26), my 5 year old Cyberpower UPS gave out around 12:00 noon. The devices on this UPS was my Arris cable modem TM822 and my Wireless router and a printer... after a few hours, the Arris lost power and there went my phone and Internet... So the modem was without power for about 5/6 hours. I replaced the UPS and all my equipment came back online...EXCEPT my Arris modem... it went into some sort of a Initialization loop... The US and DS lights were flashing yellow... Green on the power light...
I called RCN support thinking RCN may have to send some kind of signal to it to wake it up but they couldn't see my modem. They scheduled a tech to come out today between 12-2 PM... Before I left for work, I checked the modem and it was in the same state... When the RCN tech showed up, all was working fine. He couldn't explain it... so it took around 24 hours for my modem to come back and no one says they did anything...
Anyone have any ideas what could have happened?
