It is sometimes helpful to see what other people are paying for comparison. This account has been active for 30 years as TV, and as "triple play" for about 12 years. I live in Lehigh Valley.
I have been trying to keep RCN cost down as close as possible to 2009 price when it was analog cable, phone, and 10 Mbps internet. I was paying about $162 with no premium channels at the "analog crush" in Sep 2009.

Since the TiVo equipment was now 4 years old, the price was expected to go up by $10. I called RCN for the latest deal, and they offered me new equipment, an extra mini, and brought the price down by a few dollars instead of going up.

So I am pleased to say that I have new equipment at a lower price, an extra mini, and about $12 less than for a new customer. I think in 7 years RCN has managed to introduce a lot of new services at about the same price. Overall, I think they deserve kudos. But you do have to call them frequently as they don't offer the lates deal by default.
