All, how can I fix my upstream SNR level? I'm only getting about 4-5 mbps upload to RCN speedtests and I'm getting about 3% packet loss for gaming / voip. The line from my wall goes directly to the modem via a -9db tap and the open end has a cap on it. So it's just the cable modem and no TV service on the line. The current screenshots from merlin are attached to this post.
A tech came out and put proper caps on the open end of a -12db tap which didn't seem to affect much. Then the replaced the modem with another, which at least brought the downstream power levels down, so the -12db tap was replaced with a -9db tap to increase signal.
I'm still having terrible upload speeds, and RCN doesn't seem to have any fixes besides giving me a discount for a slower speed.
