Hello, my girlfriends parents have RCN in Pennsylvania and they have a large home with spotty Wi-Fi. So I wanted to fix that and increase the WiFi coverage for them. They currently have a whole home TiVo system provided by RCN, the ones they rent you.
Idk the model numbers but it looks rounded. The Minis have an Ethernet port. So I was thinking of adding a Google WiFi system. The main unit in the upstairs office. 2nd unit in the living room (close to the backyard) and the 3rd unit in the basement. I was thinking of using the Ethernet from the RCN boxes to plug into the Google WiFi systems for backhaul seeing as the basement is by far the furthest.
Does anyone have recommendations, will this work as intended or should I just use the WiFi for mesh? They pay for 50mb internet speed I think. They really don’t care about speed. But calls keep dropping in the basement because he router is currently on the second floor
