I am receiving up to 10 robo calls a day form illegitimate companies claiming to be Apple and Amazon. The caller ID name and number is different for each call. Most of the calls are ID’ed with my area code and exchange to fool you into thinking the call is local. I have called RCN previously to report this issue, they said they have no way to trace the calls and suggested using Nomorobo.com which I signed up. The Nomorobe will catch some calls, I can tell by the phone ringing once then stops. It is not catching the Amazon and Apple spoff calls. Again, I called yesterday to report the issue and was told RCN has no way to trace the calls. I find it hard to believe a phone company currently does not have the capacity to trace the origin of calls. I prefer to keep my land line, we have stopped answering all calls, if it is important the caller will leave us a voice mail. With that said I would prefer to turn off the ringers on my phones and just let all calls go to voicemail. With that voicemail to email would be a great option, I’m told it is not an option RCN offers. If someone is out there checking this forum please help.
