I am an Astound customer in eastern PA. For years we had IPs consistently out of the same range (something like 214.x.x.x...I don't remember exactly but it was some form of a "2XX" address space). Suddenly in the past week we're on a 23.x.x.x and now public services are mapping us to Michigan. This is causing the expected chaos on online services tied to location (streaming, online sales, MFA w/impossible travel restrictions, etc.).
Tried using online chat but they want to send a truck roll to resolve the "issue". They claim unable to escalate to someone online who is capable of understanding/troubleshooting. I am currently on a long hold on the phone to see if they can understand and fix but if they don't...anyone here able to help?
Most only services (Maxmin, IP2Location, etc.) only take changes for entire subnets so those really need to be done by Astound. I'm submitting individual fixes where I can but a) they do not guarantee a change and b) I could be assigned a new IP at any time.
