So, Comcast is doing 85MHz return in residential areas to enable up to 300-400Mbps upstream..
AT&T is (slowly) expanding Fiber and Air service (in ericsson markets) can do more than 50Mbps upload
Verizon has 5G Home on C-Band/mmWave/FiOS with a minimum of 20Mbps upload
T-Mobile 5G gets 50-100+Mbps upload in many areas...
What are Astound's plans for High Split/FTTH conversion to get past this 50Mbps ceiling they currently have for upload?
They've been awfully quiet on investor calls about the plans for network upgrades... I know there were some mentions of doing FTTH everywhere a few years ago, and I noticed all the business accounts around here have been swapped to 100% IP capable gear, as well as teh two normal people with cable I know..
Are they planning on going High Split, or just doing full on FTTH and retiring the copper network in Chicago? I know they've been on a streak converting MDU's and such.. but nothing has been said about the areas with aerial coax in the city.
