I called RCN after I did a speed test. I am paying for 25 MBPS, but am getting at best 4.6. YES, that is under 5. After reading this forum, I thought it could be an oversubscription issue and called RCN to switch me to another node. RCN declined and said "all looked fine on their end". The only way they would switch me is to have 1 tech come out, verify that this is the case. Then a higher tech would have to come out again to actually be able to switch it.
This is ridiculous. I am at my wits end with RCN. They acknowledge that my slow internet speed is the cause of why RCN VOD is not working yet they want to charge me to have these technicians come for not one but two visits to fix one problem!
Please advise.
