Was on the 110 mbps package. Was upgraded to the 155 package by switching account ownership. There's a new charge on the new bill of Municipal Construction Surcharge of $0.99. We've been with rcn for over a decade, there have never been any surcharges or taxes added in our area (suburb of chicago).
According to the rep I spoke with this is a new surcharge being rolled out to the chicago market (other markets too probably) starting with the december statement.
What's odd is there's no explanation of this charge anywhere on the bill, or in past statements upto, and including the november statement.
