About a month ago I purchased a Netgear CM-600 and also upgraded my RCN internet to 155/15 mbps. For the first few weeks the connectivity was great and no modem errors, but just last week I noticed I couldn't stream videos on many sites, such as youtube. I checked everything and found T4 errors in the event log. This issue just started like 5 or 6 days ago, I figured that perhaps lots of people were home for the holiday resulting in throttling of the internet for everyone connected to this node, but the errors in the event logtell me that's not the case. I called customer support and they pinged and reprovisioned my modem but of course that's not going to solve anything. In the end they essentially blamed my equipment. It's a $120 modem which supports 24x8 channels, but it hasn't been using all of the available channels, either that or RCN has shut some down. I also double checked my firmware version, which is V1.01.05, however the Netgear website shows that for all other ISP's it should be V1.01.06. I'm not entirely sure which one I should have.
