Have the Gig service, for about 4 years now from RCN. During those 4 years, I've only had a handful of small issues. However, the past two weeks I've had very slow speeds and some connectivity/latency issues. Removed my router for testing, used a cat 6 cable directly connected to my desktop, and had the same issues. Here's a screenshot from Merlin....anyone have any recommendations?
The poor L1 tech I spoke to today, thinks this issue is caused by "Ethernet Port 2 being down". She didn't understand that it's showing as down, because there's no connection/that port isn't being used at all. I have an appointment for wednesday, but nothing has changed in my apt/building. Not going to cancel that appointment, but wanted to see if there was anything else I should be looking at while I wait?
