This is a follow up to a post I made earlier on December 1 regarding slow speeds during evening / peak hours. (Original post: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r28852256-Speed-Slow-internet-speeds-Edgewater)
I appreciate uid://584619 looking into the issue for me before, but the problem doesn't seem to have improved. Tonight it's worse than it's ever been, with speeds as low as 0.75 Mbps and only about has high as 2.5 Mbps. This was between 11pm and midnight on December 30.
During off-peak hours, I frequently get excellent speeds-- usually the full 50 Mbps.
I called it in to Tech Support tonight and was told that there were no known issues in Chicago and that the issue was local to my equipment. However, I'm not the only Chicago user experiencing this problem on a regular basis including tonight (See also: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r28891647-Speed-Slow-Peak-Hours-Internet-Lakeview)
I'll gladly continue to follow up through the proper channels by calling Customer Service, but I don't think the people answering those calls are necessarily the right people to help.
